The pedagogy session is the first module of the Third Places sequence. It is designed to allow the participants to understand the general framework of this new model through a reverse-learning process.
Regarding the third places more specifically, the knowledge workshop aim is to :
– Deepen the participants understanding of this new model
– Identify what the purpose and the main values of the third places are
– Provide the required core knowledge for the next two steps of the module
During the first part of the workshop, the topic is introduced by the organizer of the workshop. That can be through a live presentation, or to a video or graphic content, that can also have been shared in advance with the participants.
For the third places, the team chose to propose a visual support form, where the team that worked on this module introduce the topic in an informal and engaging way.
During the workshop, the group discusses the subject and its applications. In a second part the participants engaged in participative quizz and words clouds for a brainstorming session. This allows participants to thoroughly discover the model and reflect on Third Places through their values, definitions, and challenges.
